House Subcommittee to Hold Hearing on Workplace Jew-Hatred In Higher Ed

(JNS) The House Subcommittee on Workforce Protections plans to hold a hearing on “Combating Workplace Antisemitism in Postsecondary Education: Protecting Employees from Discrimination” on June 26.

“As employers, colleges have a legal duty and moral obligation to protect staff and faculty from discrimination and harassment,” stated Rep. Kevin Kiley (R-Calif.), the subcommittee chair.

“The committee’s wide-reaching antisemitism investigation exposed these institutions’ troubling pattern of willful dereliction of their legal duties and failure to address and prevent antisemitic incidents,” Kiley added. “This hearing will allow committee members to hold these colleges accountable for their inability to protect their employees from abuse and unlawful discrimination.”

“An important step forward,” stated the Orthodox Union Advocacy Center. “Thank you for facilitating these crucial measures to protect Jewish students on campus.”

JNS sought more information from the committee. It isn’t yet clear who is slated to testify during the hearing.
