The Orthodox Forum of Edison/Highland Park will present Rivka Press Schwartz, PhD, associate principal, general studies, SAR High School, on Motzei Shabbat, November 20 at 8 p.m. at Congregation Ahavas Achim in Highland Park, and viewable via Zoom. She will discuss “Race, Class & American Modern Orthodox Life.”

Press Schwartz is a fellow of the Kogod Research Center at the Shalom Hartman Institute of North America. She has spent more than 15 years in the field of Jewish secondary and post-secondary education. She earned a Ph.D. in history of science from Princeton University, writing her dissertation about the cultural history of the Manhattan Project. She lectures widely on issues of contemporary importance in the Orthodox community.
