Dear Shayna,
I am the shortest person in my class and somebody really tall sits in front of me. She talks to people sitting next to her. We’ve been having substitutes this week and when I ask to switch seats, the substitute always says that when my non-substitute teacher gets back, l can take it up with her. I can’t concentrate because I’m looking at the girl who sits in front of me. Please help me.
Signed,
Short Shifra
Dear Short Shifra,
Take it up with the principal. Your teacher doesn’t seem like she’s in any rush to teach your class. You can tell your substitute you’re having trouble concentrating due to not being able to see the lesson. If she or he still wants you to wait for your teacher, email your teacher about the problem. Your teacher can talk to your substitute teacher. If you bug your substitute teacher every day, she or he might let you temporarily switch seats. If your principal and substitute teacher don’t help out, your teacher can’t hide forever.
Best of luck,
Shayna B.
