I Will Remember in November

Dear President Biden,

The recent abstention by the U.S. in the Security Council was a disgraceful slap to our only consistent ally in the Middle East. As the election season progresses the Biden Administration has increasingly shown that it is more interested in gaining a few votes in Michigan than it is in the best interests of the United States.

This act in the U.N. was the worst of this telegraphing of policy that supports Hamas more than Israel. To not veto a ceasefire resolution that does not require the immediate release of all hostages (including six Americans) shows a terrible disregard for the realities of a real war against terror in Israel’s backyard. This vote weakens the U.S. as a fair weather friend and is reminiscent of the Obama Administration’s failure to veto Resolution 2334 in 2015. The only difference was that they had already lost the election and the Biden Administration hasn’t lost yet. To those who support the U.S.-Israel relationship, this vote has proven that the Biden Administration does not have Israel’s back.

I for one will remember that in November.
