English and Hebrew literacy skills continue in the preschool at the Iris Berman Early Childhood Center. The children practice holding their writing utensils properly. They focused writing on particular points on their Handwriting Without Tears (HWT) practice sheets and drawing straight lines and curvy lines which will be necessary when writing the alphabet letters. They also identified the Hebrew letter ‘aleph’ on a sheet filled with Hebrew letters and some of the children were interested in forming the aleph using clay.
