I don’t know what to do. Everyone in my grade hates me because they think I’m weird. I try to stand up to them, but it doesn’t work. They just say mean things back to me, and even leave mean notes in my locker, and start rumors about me. Please help!

Dear Sad Skylar,

You’re a rockstar. If people can’t see your bright light then those people need a big thick pair of glasses. YOU don’t need THEM. Maybe people will have changed over the summer. Give them the benefit of the doubt. It doesn’t hurt and you would want them to do the same thing for you. Make new friends from other places. Your whole life isn’t school. (Even though sometimes it may feel that way.) If you can’t get along with any people you meet, try meeting friends at the zoo. I hear we share 99% of our DNA with mice and everyone loves Mickey Mouse.
