(Courtesy of Idea School) Starting 2019-2020, The Idea School will be lowering tuition from $23,000 to $18,000. The new price reflects the economic benefits of the school’s innovative educational model and historic partnership with the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades.
Head of School Tikvah Wiener said: “The school will continue to hire and train master educators; provide academic, religious and emotional support to its students; and grow a wide range of extracurricular and athletic activities. Our daily schedule and educational model allows our teachers to spend more time with each student and reduces our need for additional staff for guidance and advisory. Combined with the lower costs we have outside the classroom relative to other schools we are able to deliver a top-quality education at a lower cost per student.”
Board President Raz Haramati added: “This price point reflects the school’s desire for its families not to be overly burdened by the price of day school tuition and to ease the financial tension of living a fully Jewish life. We are grateful to our partners at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades for their support.”
Treasurer Lisa Farkovits noted: “We are grateful to all the donors who are investing in our vision for sustainable, high-quality Jewish education by helping us cover the startup costs as we grow the school.”
