I am writing to express my deep frustration regarding the attendance of sick individuals in shul. While I am aware that as we enter the fall and winter seasons, people understandably develop a cold or other form of sickness, it is aggravating when focus is lost due to the sound of a sneeze. Additionally, your illness affects those nearby, ruining their entire day. This might induce people to dislike going to shul and decide not to attend.

While recent pandemics might be contained, I feel that an important idea is lost: People can still get sick. And shul, one of the most common places for a virus to spread, seems to be a place where sick people can heedlessly be present. Therefore, I implore everybody to consider the negative effects of their davening.
