Illuminating the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s Vision for Israel’s Security and Peace

(Courtesy of Fair Lawn Chabad) A program entitled “The Rebbe’s Vision for Achieving a Secure and Peaceful Future in the Holy Land of Israel” will be held this Sunday, Aug. 4 from 7:15-8:45 p.m. at Anshei Lubavitch in Fair Lawn. It will offer a profound exploration of the wisdom and insights of the Lubavitcher Rebbe concerning the security of the state of Israel. This event promises to be an engaging and enlightening experience, providing valuable perspectives on Israel’s past, present and future through the lens of one of the most influential Jewish leaders of the 20th century.

Among the tens of thousands of individuals who met and corresponded with the Rebbe were members of Israel’s defense and security cabinets. They regularly sought his counsel on matters of warfare and political strategy. What made the Rebbe’s guidance so essential?

According to Yehuda Avner, a former Israeli prime ministerial advisor, diplomat and author, the Rebbe’s understanding was unparalleled: “His sources were numerous and extraordinary, as was the depth of his grasp of our geopolitical strategic situation.” It was not just the Rebbe’s political acumen that drew people to seek his advice but his deep concern and care for the millions of Jews residing in the Holy Land.

In a time of heightened tension and uncertainty, the Rebbe’s insights serve as a much-needed source of guidance and hope. This one-time multimedia seminar will explore how the Rebbe’s teachings on this topic are increasingly relevant today, shedding light on Israel’s complex situation and the role of Jews worldwide.

Key topics will include: responding to international criticism; sustaining the Israel-USA partnership; evaluating security risks; measuring military success; and perspectives on “land for peace.”

The Rebbe’s approach was characterized by an uplifting positivity and profound moral clarity. Frequently quoting the verse from Devarim, “God’s eyes are upon it from the beginning of the year until the end of the year,” he often referred to Israel as “the safest place in the world.” His outspoken views on Israeli politics underscored his commitment to the safety and security of the Jewish people, a responsibility he embraced with great seriousness.

The community is encouraged to attend this unforgettable experience and gain clarity on these critical topics and more by attending the seminar. To register, visit flchabad.com/peace-upon-the-land. For additional information, contact Rabbi Avrohom Bergstein at [email protected] or (201) 362-2712.
