Tablet magazine points out about New Jersey’s Fifth District Congressman Josh Gottheimer that “since reaching Congress in 2017, the 45-year-old New Jerseyan has staked out a position as the most pro-Israel Democrat in the lower chamber.”
Moreover, Josh has been at the forefront of combating antisemitism, regardless of its origins, and has vigorously employed his position to that effect.
We believe Jewish Link readers need to bear this in mind when their mail-in ballots arrive shortly.
Josh provides tremendous leadership co-chairing the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus. His pragmatic approach over the last two terms to making government work for you, the tax-paying citizen, is in keeping with what he calls “Jersey values.”
He is here, there and everywhere in the district providing constituents with assistance. He has been particularly strong in getting families emergency visas to travel to Israel or funerals during the COVID crisis.
With regard to COVID, Josh was instrumental in helping Bergen County receive multiple Federal Emergency Management Agency grants, totaling in the millions of dollars, to aid our response to the pandemic, and is working on improving our supply chain so that we can efficiently distribute a vaccine throughout our district once it is developed.
Please be sure to vote for Josh when your ballot arrives.
