The ASF Institute of Jewish Experience’s third annual conference will focus on Western Sephardi traditions in their historical and modern-day contexts through an examination of their history, religious leaders, customs, liturgy, literature, arts, and material culture. Sponsoring organizations include YU, S&P Central, and Congregation Shearith Israel.

May 11: Liturgical concert at Congregation Shearith Israel

May 12: Full day of academic sessions

May 13: Half day academic sessions followed by tour of Shearith Israel’s cemetery.
