I admit that I’m not a “maven” in regards to Israel’s political system. However, I strongly believe that the parliamentary system is inadequate for Israel’s security needs. She needs a strong and stable leader who can act decisively in the face of danger without the constant threat of the government being dissolved by one or more of the political “partners,” These partners should have a term of office defined by a written constitution.
The American system in which the chief executive and legislative branch are elected by the people separately and independently of each other would be far superior in serving the country’s critical needs.
