Dear Shayna B,
I am a huge fan! I have a problem that I hope you could help me with. My friends have been hanging out without me on Shabbat. It makes me very sad. But I’m too scared to confront them. They all told me that they were going away for Shabbat, but then I saw them hanging out without me. Worst of all is that one of them is my oldest friend. We would always hang out together and she told me that she was going to her grandparents for Shabbat. She was lying to me. What should I do? I need you!
Sincerely,Lonely Lenny
Dear Lonely Lenny,
I would catch your little “friend” in the act of lying so she wouldn’t be able to squirm out of it again in the future. Then I’d ask her what’s going on and if she didn’t want to be amigos I’d just go and make some new friends, better friends. I’ll leave you with a poem that will hopefully uplift your spirits:
Roses are red,
Violets are pink,
Who needs friends that really stink?!
Best of luck,Shayna B.
