It Was the Height of Hypocrisy

I wasn’t sure whether to laugh in pain or cry out loud in response to UNESCO’s resolution calling Israel an “occupying power” and [saying] any Israeli efforts to assert sovereignty over Jerusalem are “null and must be rescinded,” on Israel’s Independence Day, no less. The hypocrisy and outrageous accusation is confirmed by the very countries who perpetrate their own occupations. Just to single out among the other six countries, Russia of all places ironically voted in favor of condemning Israel while conveniently ignoring their forced annexation of Crimea in 2014. Ever speak to Ukrainians to express their opinion of Russia? Russian military intervention in Ukraine took control of territory in Crimea while they sit in judgment of Israel. So the travesty continues and it never [ceases] to amaze me the irony of it all! Now look who is calling the kettle black! Isn’t that so?
