J&J Pharmacy, the number 1 seed, faced off against the number 2 seed, Genesis Pain Management in the Championship Game. It was a classic pitching duel with J&J ace Liam Levy facing off against Genesis ace David Markovitz. Genesis struck first, by getting one run in the first inning, off a hit by Markovitz. Both pitchers then settled in, and through 4 innings of great pitching, Genesis Pain was still leading 1-0. The J&J team stayed in the game, and in the bottom of the 4th, with 2 men on base, Ezra Becker slammed a hard single to score 2 runs. Now J&J took the lead 2-1. With a stunning display of great defense, capped off by two over the head catches by shortstop Liam Levy- including one backwards somersault catch, J&J won this nail biter of a championship game with a score of 2-1.
