(Courtesy of Jewish Business Network) The Jewish Business Network (JBN) was honored to welcome its executive partners to the JBN Gabelli Executive Breakfast Roundtable, a high-impact gathering held under the theme “Looking Toward a Bright Future in Westchester.”
The event featured an engaging and thought-provoking conversation with Jason Barnett, vice chairman, chief legal officer and chief administrative officer of RXR Realty in Uniondale, New York and was expertly moderated by Laurence Gottlieb, managing director, life sciences and health technologies at Robert Martin Company in Westchester.
Hosted at New York Medical College by Adam Hammerman, CFO and vice president, under the auspices of Touro University, the roundtable convened a select group of Westchester’s business leaders to explore real estate trends, investment opportunities, and the intersection of business and Jewish ethics.
“I always enjoy being a part of the Jewish Business Network,” shared Hammerman. “The learning, sharing, networking, and mutual support within a unified community is stellar.”
Participants explored RXR’s philosophy of “Doing Well By Doing Good,” delving into how ethical real estate development can serve both investors and the broader community. Legal and Talmudic insights were also shared, including a powerful reflection from David Wilkes, partner at Cullen and Dykman LLP, on dina d’bar metzra, the Jewish law prioritizing neighbor rights in property sales, reinforcing the role of social responsibility in land use.
Rabbi Levi Levitin, executive director of JBN, offered a spiritual perspective: “The idea of building a home is deeply rooted in Judaism. The midrash teaches that God created the world to dwell within it. Whether we build physical homes or spiritual ones through studying Torah and performing mitzvot, we’re all part of bringing the world closer to redemption.”
The event took place as part of the Mario J. Gabelli Business Education Institute, an initiative providing Jewish professionals with leadership development, ethical business education, and personal growth opportunities rooted in Torah values. Core focus areas include Jewish business ethics, philanthropy, healthy work-life integration, and community leadership. JBN Gabelli executive roundtables serve as powerful forums for collaboration, professional development and relationship building among purpose-driven leaders.
