Oren to discuss his new literary work, ‘Swann’s War.’
(Courtesy of JCC MetroWest) The JCC MetroWest is proud to invite members of the greater community to an in-person event featuring New York Times bestselling author and former Israeli Ambassador to the United States Michael Oren, on Sunday, October 23 at 4 p.m. Oren will be speaking about his new literary work, “Swann’s War,” as well as addressing domestic and world events from Uvalde to Ukraine with knowledge and authority. Oren is the winner of both the Los Angeles Times’ History Book of the Year Award and the National Jewish Book Award (both for “Six Days of War: June 1967” and “The Making of the Modern Middle East”), as well as a celebrated historian and diplomat. With “Swann’s War,” he returns to his first love, fiction writing, bringing his immense creativity, intelligence, imagination, historical perspective and expertise to this unique crime novel. A native of West Orange, New Jersey, he splits his time between Tel Aviv and Los Angeles.
In “Swann’s War,” Oren turns his attention to World War II and delivers a page-turning, historical mystery novel, filled with powerful imagery, masterful storytelling and layered, unforgettable characters.
