JCOT Hosts ‘Youth Kickoff Event’ on Sunday, September 3

The Jewish Center of Teaneck is excited to start the new year with a Youth Kickoff Event on Sunday, September 3, at 10:30 a.m. in the Jewish Center gymnasium. The program will focus on the topic of Elul and Rosh Hashanah. There will be creative kid activities, refreshments and a fun inflatable bouncy house for children’s play as well. All children are welcome. Cost is $5 per child. Enter on Broad Street.

Every Shabbat morning there are exciting Shabbat youth groups and a youth kiddush at the Jewish Center of Teaneck. The Jewish Center of Teaneck has a Shabbat Mommy and Me, groups until second grade and a youth minyan for third- to fifth-grade boys and girls. The youth minyan will be led by Rav Yishai Klein, a Ben Porat Yosef Judaic studies educator, Israeli Shaliach and also a Ram from Yeshivat Otniel in Israel. The youth minyan is open to the whole community. The minyan will meet weekly, 9:45-11:15 a.m., in one of the downstairs classrooms and will feature davening, study of the weekly Torah portion, divrei Torah delivered by children and weekly prizes. Davening will conclude each week with a special youth kiddush. Entrance to the Jewish Center of Teaneck is located at 70 Sterling Place.
