The Jewish Community Relations Committee (JCRC) of the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey is planning its monthly Legislative Advocacy Day for the month of February.
During these monthly Legislative Advocacy Days, the JCRC will meet with the legislators of a single district in its catchment area. Small groups will meet with the legislators face to face to discuss and advocate for key issues affecting the community and state of New Jersey.
At January’s Legislative Advocacy Day, held on January 10, the group was warmly welcomed by Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle at her Englewood office and by Assemblyman Gordon Johnson in Teaneck. The group was well prepared and discussed several key issues affecting the Jewish community: healthcare for seniors, security and anti-Semitism, the State of Israel and more.
