JEC experienced a true taste of Israel on Yom Ha’atzmaut as students across all grade levels traveled around the country experiencing a variety of fun activities which gave them a flavor of Israel! They began their day with a tekes and Hallel with Rabbi Beer. They made salt art at the Dead Sea, participated in Israeli STEM and Rube Goldberg activities at the Technion, listened to music and created mosaic art in Tzfat, played trivia games, challenged themselves through an obstacle course at army training and played soccer at Gan Sacher. The day ended with some yummy blue and white treats and a kehillah-wide assembly! It was truly inspirational coming together as a JEC kehillah, strengthening Jewish pride and expressing love and dedication to Am Yisrael, Eretz Yisrael and Medinat Yisrael.
