Yom Ha’Atzmaut Sameach! JEC experienced a fun and meaningful day celebrating Israel through a variety of fun activities. They began the day with Hallel and a special tekes. They made sand art, Israeli salad and decorated Magen Davids. They played trivia games on many facts about Israel, trained like a member of Tzahal, worked as a team in a bucket brigade and played machanayim (Israeli dodgeball), matkot (Israeli paddle ball) amongst other Israeli games. The day ended with some yummy blue and white cookies. It was truly inspirational coming together as a JEC kehillah, strengthening Jewish pride and expressing love and dedication to Am Yisrael, Eretz Yisrael and Medinat Yisrael.
