One of the highlights of JEC’s Chanukah celebrations is the JPO Chanukah Chagiga. The chagiga is a way for families to get together outside of school and celebrate Chanukah together as a community. Although this year looks different, there was no way we could let the chag go by without joining together for a community celebration! The JPO hosted a wonderful virtual paint night for families! They delivered paint supplies, canvases and a dreidel template to all participants. The paint night began with candle lighting in Rabbi Beer’s living room where participants lit candles and sang songs together. Leah Kaminer, a parent with children in early childhood, lower school and middle school, then instructed everyone in a Chanukah paint night activity. A great time was had by all!
