Mrs. Cantor and Morah Erica’s second graders celebrated their marble jar completion with an ice cream party! The students received marbles for courteous and kind behavior and were so proud of their accomplishments and creating positive culture in the classroom. Ice cream sandwiches are a particularly great choice, as the second graders just completed another “how to” writing piece all about how to create an ice cream sandwich. Students needed to compose writing pieces explaining the process in a very methodical way. Through The Writing Revolution strategies, repeated activities and hands-on practice and games, second graders are on their way to becoming proficient writers.
