This year, JEC general studies classes are using the framework and strategies of The Writing Revolution. Writing is coming alive in classrooms and students are making beautiful progress. Mrs. Taub’s students worked hard on their latest writing pieces. They edited and revised and then created a class magazine of their stories and writing. Each writer is represented in the 5B collaboration. Students chose the piece they were most proud of and made sure it was ready for publication. The class brainstormed titles of their magazine and voted on the name of their publication: 5B Stories. Each child was able to bring a copy home to share with their families and their work is proudly displayed on the bulletin board.
