JEC wishes a huge mazel tov to Kitah Alef on receiving their very first Chumashim. Thank you to the wonderful Morot—Morah Singfer, Morah Ariella and Morah Pesi—for inspiring a love of Torah and Yiddishkeit in the children every day. The performance beautifully showcased the themes of Briat Haolam, Matan Torah, the promise of Eretz Yisrael, the hope of Am Yisrael and our deep love for Torah. Each child was presented with their first Chumash, ready to use their kriah skills to build a life connected to Torah. The grand finale, “The Light of Torah,” dedicated to Morah Singfer’s parents and highlighted by a light show, left the audience in awe. The Chagigat HaChumash was particularly meaningful as we approach Chag HaShavuot and ready ourselves for Matan Torah.
