JEC Gets in the Chanukah Spirit

The week of Chanukah at the JEC Lower and Middle School is one of exciting and meaningful learning and programming! Students began their week by jumping into Chanukah at Sky Zone where students in first through eighth grade enjoyed a fun bonding experience. Early childhood students participated in “light” themed Mad Science workshops and Chanukah themed cookie decorating. The elementary students ended Monday with a Cake Wars competition where the winner’s cake spelled out “I love JEC a Latka!” On Tuesday, second graders put on a spectacular Chanukah play. Children in early childhood, elementary and middle schools danced in a glow in the dark chagiga with music teacher, Mr. Golombeck. Middle School also competed in an exciting Top Chef competition. On Wednesday, the whole school enjoyed a spectacular Wacky Science show with Dr. Shnitzel and ended the day with a special Chanukah fair with the Rishonim of the Greater Metrowest. The rest of the week was complete with inter-grade learning, a Chanukah carnival run by the Bruriah Middle School and an exciting Chanukah oneg. An amazing week was had by all!
