JEC had its second annual Rashi Breakfast for third grade students and their parents. They marked the momentous occasion of the beginning of their mefarshim journey with a meaningful program. The students learned a Rashi on this week’s parsha with their parents, decorated a bookmark with Rashi script, played Rashi letter games and ate a delicious breakfast! The children received beautiful personalized headbands and kippas with their names written in Rashi caterer designed by Morah Shira Raymond @shirasimpressivedesigns as a special giveaway. Everyone heard words of inspiration from Rabbi Beer, Morah Reich and Rabbi Carlebach. Each child brought home a personalized Rashi pouch, complete with Rashi games, a learning packet and a Rashi stencil. This year’s learning was dedicated in the merit of the safety of our brothers and sisters in Israel. The message was that of shalom bringing bracha into the world learned through the special bracha given to Menashe and Ephraim and by extension all sons today. Everyone looks forward to sharing in their continued growth in Torah learning as they Learn Torah, Love Torah and Live Torah at JEC!
