JEC High School Enjoys Shabbaton 2018

JEC students and rebbeim enjoyed an unbelievable Shabbos of ruach and growth at Camp Nageela last week. The shabbaton creates memories and friendships that last a lifetime. This year was no different. Kicking off at Launch Trampoline Park, students had a great time on the obstacle courses, jousting, dunking and playing dodgeball together.

The shabbaton’s theme was emes, seeking the truth in ourselves, and spreading it wherever we go. Each session, dvar Torah and activity centered around this all-important topic.

Friday night featured a Carlebach-style davening, with sessions and tishes going into the early morning hours. On Shabbos day, students had Q&A sessions with their rebbeim on a variety of topics ranging from halacha to hashkafa. Shabbos ended with a beautiful Havdala led by Dr. Perlman and Rabbi Neuman.

On motzei Shabbos, students enjoyed a massive and intense game of Panoply led by Rabbi Ginsberg and Rabbi Malitzky.
