Wednesday featured the annual JEC yom iyun and breakfast. Chanukah is a time of celebrating the continuity of Torah, even through the darkest of times. What better way to honor that reality than by seeing fathers, sons and rebbeim connect through Torah and tefillah. The day began with a beautiful Chanukah davening, highlighted by an uplifting Hallel led by Rabbi Malitzky and then a delicious breakfast. Rabbi Neuman then shared an inspiring message of living our lives filled with passion for and in our avodat Hashem. Fathers and sons had the opportunity to feel the magic of the beit midrash as they prepared b’chavruta for the next shiur. The kol Torah ringing through the beit midrash was overwhelming. The morning concluded with a special shiur prepared by each Gemara rebbe.
