This week saw the inauguration of a new beit midrash for JEC High School students. The Harold Silverstein Beit Midrash will house the davening, a vibrant morning seder daily for the entire high school as well as a twice-a-week, optional night seder, for more that 75 students each night.

Learning has taken new form in the past two years in JEC. With a student-driven focus, as well as thoughts about each boy’s future, chavruta-style learning prepares students for their futures in independent study and growth. The kol Torah on just the first day was intense, and both the rebbeim and the talmidim felt that extra push simply from being in such a beautiful space.
