This past week and Shabbos, JEC students, accompanied by Rabbi Shraga Schofield, went to Houston to rebuild homes in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. They worked hard on helping active community members get back into their childhood homes, still months after the devastating storm. Everyone that interacted with them on the job site were so impressed how hard they worked and how considerate they were while doing the work. Friday was spent at the Houston food bank, helping community members help each other up until Shabbos.
Partnering with NJ NCSY, students spent a beautiful Shabbos in the community, inspiring and being inspired by everyone around them.
