In response to the parent body, who want their two and a half year old children to be a part of the JEC experience, the JEC Lower School expanded their Early Childhood to include the JEC Juniors. “It was the best move that we made for our daughter,” shared Danna Averbook, mother of a JEC Junior student. “Throughout the year, the teachers have been building the foundations for our daughter’s educational future in creative and fun ways, both in Hebrew and English.”
These youngest students are part of the Lower School in all facets. They participate in specialty classes such as music and gym, enjoy enriching school programs and begin connections with friends, teachers and administrators who will be with them for the next four, ten and possibly 13 years of their lives. Juniors, along with all Lower and Middle School students, excitedly start their day greeted with a smile and high five from Rabbi Beer and Morah Rivkah.
Morah Liraz and Morah Raizy are amazing, warm, nurturing and patient. They provide a perfect balance of structure that allows the children to thrive. The daily routine includes guided play, movement and rhythm, story time and age appropriate projects that go home weekly and before every chag. Teachers place a large focus on growing language skills as well as work with parents for successful toilet training experiences.
