The JEC Lower School choir is participating in a unique and meaningful opportunity. In conjunction with students from P.S. 12 in Elizabeth, the children prepared a diverse range of songs depicting aspects and messages of the Holocaust. The students learned about standing up against hate and the hope and longing that fired up the spirit of so many. Several of the selections were sung in the original Yiddish! The joint choir presented at a community-wide Holocaust commemoration event at Kean University on April 11.
