Last Shabbat, the 11th grade class took to HP/Edison for an amazing grade Shabbaton. A beautiful oneg Shabbat at the home of Joe Matthew, featured special guest speaker Rabbi Motti Miller, who shared words of inspiration and chizzuk. Following tefillah at the Ohr Torah teen minyan, the boys heard from two amazing people: Rav Akiva Sauer from the HP/Edison Community Kollel gave a chaburah on inyanei Chanukah, and Rabbi Mitchell Jadidi, lecturer at Rutgers University, spoke about making each moment meaningful. Seudah hlishit at the home of Josh Schanzer topped off an incredible Shabbat, ending with JEC’s special Havdala led by Rabbi Neuman. Throughout Shabbat, students also heard Divrei Torah from classmates Eitan Szteinbaum (Metuchen) and Sammy Kleiman (Monsey), as well as Rabbis Sauber and Malitzky.
