This month the JEC lower school library welcomes a new addition: a state-of-the-art 3D printer to kick off the library’s brand new Makerspace program, thanks to a generous grant from the Hyde & Watson Foundation. Students are now greeted by a 3D printed JEC menorah when they walk in the building! Fifth graders are proud participants in a new lunchtime 3D Printing Club, where they are learning 3D modeling skills in TinkerCAD to design and print their own creations. Students created and printed their own keychains during their first club meeting and are hard at work translating their most creative ideas into reality.
