JEC Leaders Practice What They Teach

Like many yeshivot, the Jewish Educational Center embraces a love and dedication to the land, people and State of Israel. As Jewish people around the world solemnly marked Yom Hazikaron, students at the JEC were amazed to learn that several key leaders in the school’s administration have taken the bold and brave step of actually enlisting and serving in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Currently, there are also nine graduates of the Rav Teitz Mesivta Academy who are actively serving in the IDF and over the years, many dozens more have served, boys and girls alike. Additional young women have also served in Israel’s National Service program, Sherut Leumi.

Hundreds of JEC-RTMA and Bruriah graduates make Israel their home, whether serving in the IDf or Sherut Leumi, learning in yeshivot, seminaries and colleges or having settled permanently as olim, raising beautiful families and contributing to the inspiring vitality of the country.

Knowing that their leaders and peers practice what they teach inspires students in all three divisions of the JEC.
