JEC Looks Forward to First Annual Golf Outing

Elizabeth—The Jewish Educational Center continues its energetic surge forward following its recent record-breaking 75th anniversary dinner at MetLife Stadium, and will be holding its first annual golf outing on Monday, July 11, at the prestigious Shackamaxon Country Club.

The event is positioned as an outreach and networking opportunity for JEC parents, alumni, friends and benefactors.

“In the business world,” said Brian Ness, event co-chair, JEC parent and member of the school’s board of trustees, “the golf course is a place conducive to networking and relationship building. It is our hope that not only will participants have a great day playing golf and enjoying amazing food, drinks, and the beautiful scenery, but that old friendships are rekindled and new relationships forged as well.”

““With over 75 years of alumni, we are quite rare,” he continued. “As we celebrated at our recent 75th anniversary dinner, the JEC is a family and membership really does have its benefits. I think that is very powerful. We have people of all ages signed up so far, and the positive response that we are seeing is proving that many others appreciate the power of the JEC.”

Indeed, the event is attracting lovers of the sport from across the JEC spectrum and beyond.

“As a golf enthusiast, I am really excited to be a part of this year’s JEC golf outing,” said Jeff Kimmel, co-chair and EC parent, “and I look forward to an exciting day of playing golf, meeting people supporting all three JEC divisions, and enjoying top-notch food both on and off course.”

The day will include a full roster of exciting activities including 18 holes of exceptional golfing, breakfast, lunch, barbecue on the course, door prizes, raffles and a sumptuous cocktail dinner to cap off the day.

For full event information or to register, please visit www.JECGolfOuting.org or call 908-355-4850, extension 6206.

All funds raised through the event will benefit scholarship funds for the JEC’s three divisions: the Yeshiva of Elizabeth Early Childhood & Elementary, the Rav Teitz Mesivta Academy Middle and High Schools, and the Bruriah Junior and High Schools.
