The JEC Lower and Middle School celebrated Yom Ha’atzmaut with a full day of programming featuring different aspects of the Israeli experience. The morning began with a school-wide tekes and Hallel, infusing the day with ruach and excitement. Activities included pita baking, machanayim and soccer, army training, learning about the history of Israel, Ohel Yisraeli, a STEM project, mosaic art, a Daglanut performance, and more! The JEC also had the unique honor of hosting a delegation of Israelis who joined the festivities as part of the Greater MetroWest Federation. The children enjoyed ice cream and slushies from an ice cream truck as a special treat on this very special day.
