The JEC Lower School is gearing up for a fantastic 2024-25 school year as it welcomes several new staff members to the JEC family.

Rabbi Elchonon Spinrad

Rabbi Elchonon Spinrad, Rebbe

Rabbi Elchonon Spinrad joins the teaching staff as the fourth grade boys’ rebbe. Rabbi Spinrad previously taught fourth grade at Caskey Torah Academy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was a general studies teacher at Tashbar in Lakewood, New Jersey. Rabbi Spinrad is also an ABA therapist specializing in integrated therapy and Connect Plus therapy and has been a valued day camp rebbe for years.

Morah Shoshanah Meyersdorf

Shoshanah Meyersdorf, Ivrit Teacher

Morah Shoshanah Meyersdorf joins as an Ivrit teacher and learning lab specialist, expanding the JEC Lower School’s growing Learning Lab program led by Rebecca Skolnick. A skilled and dedicated teacher, Morah Shoshanah has taught and tutored grades pre-k through eight, and most recently taught both Judaic and general studies at Yeshivas Beis Hillel of Passaic.

Morah Kayla Koyfman

Kayla Koyfman, Social Worker

Morah Kayla Koyfman, LSW, an accomplished social worker with prior roles at Ohel Children’s Home, Naaleh Cleveland and Yeshiva Derech Hatorah Girls High School, will join JEC as the new social worker and programming coordinator. Morah Kayla will work to expand programming as well as lead additional social-emotional based learning programs at the JEC Lower School, thanks to a generous grant from The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey. Morah Kayla looks forward to getting to know all of the students and giving them the support, creative outlets and the opportunities to thrive both in and out of the classroom.

“We are thrilled to welcome these wonderful professionals to the JEC Lower School this year,” said Rabbi Beer, principal. “With our outstanding team, we are gearing up for an incredible new academic year full of learning and growth, as well as the warmth the JEC Lower School is known for.”
