JEC lower school learned about election advocacy this week. First through third graders wrote thank-you letters and drew pictures for Congressman Rob Menendez, for serving the country and supporting Israel and the Jewish people. Fourth and fifth graders wrote emails to Congressman Menendez thanking him for his support of Israel and asking him for his continued support of the Jewish community here and abroad. JEC students are so thankful for government officials. Students in early childhood, first and second grades also participated in class votes to teach students about the voting process. As students focus on the theme of the year, Power of Words, teachers continue to reinforce the idea that their voice matters!
