The JEC Lower School students had an amazing week of programming for Chanukah! On Monday, the students stepped up their ometz lev (courage) as they went through Maccabee training at the Child’s Play Warrior Course. Each grade played a spin and read dreidel game tailor made just for them. The students enjoyed a Rishonim Carnival with Shalev and her friends on Tuesday, as well as a fun and interactive learning program and Kahoot! The Early Childhood students learned about fire safety with Fireman Moshe. On Wednesday, the school was filled with Chanukah Swag and students enjoyed a glow in the dark chagiga and some yummy cookie decorating. On Thursday, second graders put on a fantastic Chanukah play and everyone had a blast at the Bruriah Middle School carnival! Teachers celebrated Morah Gila’s sheva brachot at a special teacher luncheon and the week ended with a school-wide Chanukah oneg where the students bet on Teacher Minute to Win it.
