A tish evokes warm feelings of Shabbos traditions and is an established JEC Lower School tradition by now! Fourth and fifth grade students gathered to sing songs of Shabbos, hear tales of Jewish leadership and, of course, enjoy steaming hot bowls of cholent. Through riveting stories and relatable examples, each student was empowered to recognize his or her own potential to lead and inspire others. This past week’s tish included a twist, an interactive chant from parshat Lech Lecha, and the children look forward to “going forth” with this special tradition.
