JEC had an incredible Spread the Light campaign in honor of Rosh Chodesh Kislev and keeping Israel in mind. Students moved through different chesed stations led by the Bruriah Middle School students. They packed Chanukah activity bags for displaced children in Israel. The bags included handwritten cards, Chanukah activities, dreidel games and decorations. They teamed up with Thank You Hashem for their #justdomitzvos campaign. Students made brachos on snacks and said amen while keeping Israel in mind. They also received Thank You Hashem swag which they proudly displayed at their in-school rally. They sang songs of Jewish pride and unity, davened for our brothers and sisters in Israel, watched clips of older JEC students in Washington and danced in solidarity with Israel. Students daven that their collective mitzvos and tefillos will help spread the light during the month of Kislev and beyond iy”H!
