In anticipation of Election Day, the JEC Middle School held its own Student Government elections. Candidates submitted platforms stating their goals and qualifications for their desired position. Each candidate gave a campaign speech attempting to persuade their fellow students to vote for them. Afterwards, a secret ballot was held and winners were chosen in some extremely close races.
