JEC Lower and Middle School was proud to be able to open its doors to students on Thursday, March 8, in the immediate aftermath of Wednesday’s nor’easter. Parents were able to drop off their children as early as 8 a.m., which was especially appreciated in the face of widespread power outages in school communities. The greater JEC community stepped in with its characteristic care and compassion, as families opened their homes to other families, and Elliot Rosenfeld of Jerusalem Pizza provided a free hot lunch to all students. JEC is a warm home for its families, in every sense, and it couldn’t have been any truer than it was last Thursday.
