JEC is constantly looking for ways to BAM-Be A Mentch! In honor of Parshat Vayera, and in conjunction with the midah of the month—chesed, the children in primer through fifth grade enjoyed a fantastic inter-grade learning program on the topic of hachnasat orchim. The older grades acted as the hosts and welcomed their younger guests into their classrooms for some snacks and learning. Each grade learned about this important mitzvah through pesukim, mefarshim and stories. All of the children drew or wrote examples of hachnasat orchim on colorful Post-its and together they created collaborative Post-it art on the midot bulletin board!
