Mrs. Cantor’s second graders constructed bridges in science. They were challenged to make them longer than 43cm and to see how many matchbox cars they could hold. They spoke about which of their materials helped support their bridge the best.
After building their own bridges, they had the special opportunity to hear from their classmate’s father, Mr. Rosen who is a commercial engineer for bridges! The students loved seeing his workplace, where he showed them the cool equipment and tools used for building bridges and gave the children opportunities to ask questions about his work.
