This week students participated in a very special Election Day program with Mrs. Drazen. They read the book “Democracy for Dinosaurs” by Laurie Krasney Brown and discussed the concepts of democracy and citizenship. The theme this year is “JEC קהלתי—JEC community.” The students learned what it means to be a citizen and upstanding member of the community at large. They worked on a reflection sheet that helped make the ideas of voting, democracy and personal choices relatable to them.
