When RTMA seniors (from left) Dov Frommer of Livingston, Mordechai Sheinson of Hillside and Etan Ohevshalom of West Orange wanted to prepare for their upcoming appearance at the Landers College Model Beit Din, they were granted an audience with the renowned Rosh Beit Din of Elizabeth, HaRav Elazar Mayer Teitz, who also is the dean of the Jewish Educational Center.
The students discussed the intricacies of halacha and the workings of a real Beit Din, particularly related to this year’s complex halachic topic—The International Dateline.
They were able to engage with Rav Teitz, ask an array of pointed sheilot and delve into the sugya in an unrushed and personal manner. Rav Teitz was extremely impressed with their clarity and depth of knowledge and has committed himself to helping them further prepare. With this type of premium accessibility, RTMA students are positioned for tremendous development and enhancement in their learning and are poised for success at the model Beit Din.
“These young men are shining examples of our talmidim,” said RTMA Principal Rabbi Ami Neuman.
