The JEC lower school’s third graders held a state fair on Monday and welcomed parents, faculty and other division students to their exhibits.

Students were charged with researching states that they were assigned by their teachers Zeldie Henner and Suzi Kaplan. They then presented them to the public in true and colorful state fair style, complete with state-influenced decor, informative brochures and multimedia presentations. Some students even distributed delicious treats reflective of their assigned states, such as juicy oranges by the student representing Florida.

In an enthusiastic display of American patriotism, especially leading up to Memorial Day, some children also dressed in the national stars and stripes.
